What project management software are yall currently using?

I’m using Microsoft projects integrated into office 365 for email and calendar. Projects is getting retired in September and Microsoft is shutting down the servers so it’s not going to work anymore. It was a bit clunky as well and the integration wasn’t the best.

I’m having trouble finding a good replacement before projects goes offline. Really looking for an app that can create a project that can then be accessed by multiple people on that project. Want to be able to create task and assign to specific techs, allow techs to write notes and upload photos and videos. I really need to be able to have a tech put a client request in. Say a client wants to add Apple TV in the bedroom, the way we currently do it is put the request in an email and save it with the project but recently I’ve been missing those emails and the request gets overlooked.

I did a demo of jobber and it didnt seem like the right fit for what I was looking for. A self hosted one would work better for me but a cloud based one would be fine.

I use OneNote. It's hard to find software that checks all the boxes so I set up a OneNote file so my electricians can access any needed files or photos and add notes of their own. You can also set up and allow access to certain folders or files. Then I just set up and archive folder and can search later if need be. It's not perfect but works and is flexible enough to fit any job. We are pretty much paperless so everything is done via computer / ipad / phones.

From what I saw Project was converting to Planner. Our company uses another software for projects but Planner gives be all the job and quote information on one screen so is easy to find.

You can assign techs to projects and see scheduling but if you want all the full features like project you have to buy the premium plan. May be worth looking into Planner if you are familiar with Project

You can't fix stupid
