Does anyone have experience to share with respect to projector screen paint?

In our application the customer wants the screen to be as invisible as possible. A drop down is not acceptable. They want a plain white wall unless a video is being shown. We will not be using black borders to frame the viewing area. We need a wide viewing angle so high gain would not be the best choice.

It would be nice if the company could supply sample slides.

If they're painting the walls in a low-gloss (doesn't need to be flat) neutral color, they may not need to paint a specific area for projection- when I worked for a contractor in 2005, we built a display area in the office building and once the projector and system were working, we watched Top Gun. The wall color was tan, yet the white areas in the video showed as white.

It's all about expectations held, offered and managed. Paint can work well as a screen- what about the room's lighting and windows?

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Wall is currently semi-gloss white.

There is paint specifically for this. We've done it once or twice but over 10+ years ago. Hire a good painter, any imperfections will be seen on the wall while using the projector. I also recommend a black border, but sounds like the client can't be talked into it.

Right, there is no way we will get a black border. They don't want any traces of "screen" unless video is being displayed.

The long wall of the long rectangular room is 100% glass with shades and a couple columns. They are good shades, but could fit tighter along the sides. It's an East wall with no outside shade. Slide presentations are mostly in the afternoon with videos in early evening.
