I know that most new panels weight a lot less, but to trust this is going over the edge in my opinion...

I wouldn't hang a heavy TV with the extensions all the way out if the TV will be tilted, but what size is the TV you need to mount and what VESA pattern does it have?

I'm not using it, I just cannot believe it could possibly be rated to hold a 65" panel on one single arm.

I used a mount from WalMart that sells for less than $50 and it was fine- I was skeptical and decided to use it out of curiosity and because it would be easy to return but it's holding a 75" LG.

Wouldn't use it on a 65" just because of the geometry. I think I'd trust this one over whatever Lowes has though, and it's half the price.

Only if one uses Metal Drywall anchors.
you only want it tilted all the time.
and your TV dosen't need to Plug in.

32" or less and only if I can hit a stud and no boys in the house under the age of 18 years old.

Why even consider a cheesy mount when decent, proven mounts are just not that expensive?  I don't get why we consider ultra-cheap at all.  Not having to think about whether something nasty will happen is worth whatever it costs.
