I could use a decent subwoofer amp in the $200.o price range.

It will power a built in 12: sub that mainly used to fill in some base for a pair of inwall speakers. Doesn't need to be a room crushing monster.

Sub was previously pushed by a BIC America SWA-100 amp, and it worked for a very long time.

Worst case, I could buy a sub and cannibalize the plate amp for this, as the built in sub definitely has the room to mount one.

I see plate amps on Amazon but most all are Dayton Audio which I'm not thinking are of any quality.

Do you need a crossover in this amp?

In addition to Dayton, Parts Express has a selection of amplifiers.

I have a Dayton 1000 watt plate amp in an old Sunfire in-room 10 inch sub, it works very well as part of my back patio music system.

Want to buy a Proficient M3? It was removed from a rarely used system, I've had it sitting around untouched for years. $150 shipped to you.

Good to know. I'm leaning that way.
