This new toshiba TV uses a fire remote. I need discrete codes for HDMI1. URC does not have the codes, anyone know if they exist?

Fire tv's above 43" do not respond to discrete input commands. I own Amazon Omni qled 50" Fire tv, so I have searched, and others have too in helping me in this thread at JP1 forum:

I had to make a macro that goes home, over to inputs then down to the input I needed. It’s been pretty reliable. It does mess up every now and then but usually doing it a second time it does it right.

I’ll sometimes use macros with various remote systems. On occasion I’ll have a macro that will intermittently miss a command. I try to avoid adjacent commands to the same device. Some times a delay will help. If the remote does not support delays, insert a nonsense command. If the remote supports repeats, add or subtract a repeat.

I have pretty much given up using universal remote nowadays. So, i'm down to using a remote for Fire tv, and Roku remote for Streambar Pro. Owners of Fire tv I really suggest you get the separately sold Amazon Fire TV Pro remote which $10 off now:

With its 1 & 2 programmable keys you can map HDMI inputs to them, I have HDMI2 which is mini-PC and HDMI4 which is ARC/eARC where I have the Roku Streambar Pro connected to. And I can't stand how the Fire tv oem remote comes to point along the sides, the Pro remote has flat sides for easy grip.

If you want to replace an unreliable macro with single IR command. First you need Fire tv Pro remote I linked above, it only way to program the #1 key.

Then get cheap UEI universal remote with TV code 2964 or 12964 depending on the model of UEI remote get. Something like this:

[Link: ebay.com]

With UEI remote programmed with TV 2964/12964

To map the #1 command to unused key:

1. tv
2. press and hold SETUP for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 9 4
4. press SETUP for one blink, release
5. enter 0 0 2 2 0
6. pick a key

Now use that remote to teach whatever universal remote you want.
