Good Day All.

i have a client who wants to use an older Projector. The old throw was ~20ft and the new is 30ft .

the model is not on any of the current Projector Calculators.

NEC NC1000c
Lens NP-9LS13ZM1 1.33 to 2.1 Zoom lens
F=20.7-32.7mm/F2.5

Distance = Throw Ratio x Image Width.
360" = x * 130"
360" = 2.77 * 130"

this lens will not go to 2.77 there for the Projector will not work.
Is this Correct?

Thanks,
Flandon

Comparable projector for calculating is the NEC PH1202HL1 as it uses the same lenses.

Your calculations are correct 360/130=2.769.

Assuming your projector has to be 30' (360") from the screen with the current lens your screen width has to be between
360/2.1 = 171.4 (172)"
360/1.3 = 276.9 (276)"

Either move the projector closer (recommended option), try and find the required lens (NP-9LS20ZM1), or find a projector that will work.
You can't fix stupid
