Need to prewire a doctor's office for ethernet/audio/video. Dermatologist so nothing crazy to be worried about (no MRI,CT etc.), just network/phone jacks, WiFi APs and three TVs. He didn't even want ethernet jacks since his system is iPad based but I managed to talk some sense into him. This is the first time I am doing a doctor's office; any gotchas? Using plenum rated cables(drop ceiling); will do one Cat6A 10G and two Cat6 per data location; anything else I am missing? TVs will get the same plus RG-6; Wi-Fi APs two Cat6 per location.

I might have to run wires for the Alarm/Fire company as well; do you guys know if I am allowed to run their wires without a Fire/Alarm license? This is in a NYC high rise; I am tempted to leave it for the electrician.

I would think as strict as NY is you would absolutely need a special license to pull that commercial Fire. I would be highly surprised if even the electrician would be allowed to do it with just an electrical license.
Most states don't screw around when it comes to fire alarm systems for commercial. You can get into BIG trouble trying.
But then again, I have heard contractors in NY can skate around a lot of the laws if they know the right people and/or what to say.

Are you supplying the network equipment and setting it up? Are they taking payments at this doctor's office?
If so, you better familiarize yourself with PCI DSS compliance. Again, if you don't follow protocols 'someone' can get into big trouble. Not sure if the network guy would be on the hook or the company taking the payments. If it cost them a big enough fine and money to get into compliance, I would think there would be a good chance of them going after the network guy for compensation.

I am only doing the prewire; not supplying any equipment. I'll definitely leave the fire/alarm to someone else; the company that is actually installing the alarm/fire doesn't do their own prewire(?) for some reason.

Anything I am missing for the regular low voltage?

That's kind of a red flag on that Fire/Burg company. But like you said, that's going to be someone else's problem.

I know in Chicago everything has to be in EMT. So even your LV all had to be in metal conduit. That raises the pricing considerably.
Again, someone from NY would need to chime in to know if it is the same in NY city, inside of High Rises.
But either way, I would check with the general contractor about this. And if they shrug their shoulders, then check with the JHA. And hope that doesn't cause an issue where the general contractor usually gets away with a bunch of stuff, but since you got the JHA invloved early and he's seen it with the walls still open. NOW there's an issue and everyone is pissed at you for trying to do things right.

Again, just things that I've heard over the years about the way things get done in NY.

In Southern California, but still....

I was asked to install some ceiling speakers in a couple of different exam/torture rooms of a dentist. Both he and I were oblivious to the fact that there was a sheet of lead, about 20 gauge, in the walls surrounding each room that had an X-ray machine in it. I assume these went floor to ceiling. I saw the top of a couple of sheets near the ceiling but didn't have a need to uncover anything below the standard height of a VC. I wrapped the backs of the volume controls.

You should check into this.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
