Hi there,

We currently use Ubiquiti for their wifi access points. We typically use their ACPRO and their new wifi 6 versions.

We see Araknis just released their wifi 6 version and wanted to see if we should change to Araknis for waps.

Ease of setup is key for our technicians.

Any thoughts to stay with Ubiquiti or change to Araknis?

Thanks!

You are crazy to even think to switch to that piece of cr^^ Araknis sh!%

Ubiquiti may have issues every now & then you run into. But at least it performs, has good analytics, and is reliable. None of which you can say about the Araknis WAPs. At least if you are a 'real' network person and are actually paying attention.

Plenty of dealers that LOVE everything Araknis for networking. The only thing I can say is I never had problems out of their switches, but I had heard several complain about the old POE switches.

I've done exactly 1 job with Araknis APs.  I am going on Saturday to replace the one that died.  Fun times

Araknis is just another Luxel. Overpriced and under performing gear marketed to the CI channel. Ubiquity has been building out their platform for much longer. Sell it as a package to make your margin.

Ubiquiti has a great depth of product. AC-lite is common for resi.
I sell packages. So I don't have line item parts. Get the margin I need and the clients are happy. I charge for Unifi cloud support.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Snap's AP's are like their amplifiers. Use them in a pinch but don't build a business around them.
