I'm looking for suggestions for a IPTV distro system for light commercial work. Something that could take 6-8 cable and OTA sources and distribute over IP to displays, with an easy way for the user to "change channels". I'm thinking something that works with hospitality TV's would be ideal, but I suppose a STB would be ok too.

I have lot's of big budget solutions, but I'm looking for something at a lower price point.

Erik, there are a number of choices available from assorted manufacturers. Essentially, you'll put an encoder at each source, run to a managed switch, and out to a decoder at each display. You'll need a control system that can communicate via ip, and you'll be good. My favorite supplier can fit you out with what you need if you don't have a source....

Too many variables to specify what you need with the info on hand.

JAP Just Add Power was an early entry and seemed both popular and reliable from all reports.

I believe one of their reps even sold you the gear plus did all the configurations for the control system of your choice. I have not utilized it, but that was what I looked at.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

needs to be IP? because PVI does this over Coax and it works great. its only 1080, but thats more than good enough for light commercial.

We have used the zeevee products on a few jobs. Mainly the rf modulation, but they do have ip solutions as well.

HDTV Supply's WolfPack AV over IP solutions sends video and audio signals over a LAN network with resolutions extending up to 4K. Our AV over IP equipment uses standard Ethernet switches and network equipment to switch and send HDMI signals. Our AV Over IP systems also support live-streaming.

Some additional info on this need: Not looking for an IP matrix like JAP or NVI. I'm looking for something like a hospitality system that has a small receiver at the display and a remote control to change channels. I know you could do this with a matrix and control system, but really looking for a hospitality style system.

Also need a way to receive the content and "change channels" on office PC's.

Zevee would have worked but apparently they have discontinued what would be needed due to chip set shortage.
