Be glad it's not like Fandango/Vudu forums where they have 19 pages of TEMU ads on just one of their forums, many other forums on that site are also filled with same ads.
One person no, but five (say) persons in different time zones can (almost). I live in Europe (MET = GST+1) and would volunteer.
really? how much time do you spend on any given website? 5 mintues? 10 sometimes? even with 10 moderators, thats less than a couple hours a day active use.

Wouldn't it be easier on the moderators to have "semi-moderators"? Where we would have access to a button that we can click on to flag the post for approval by ya'll?
I understand there will be some site wide programming and no, I have no idea how much of a process that would be. So that alone could make this a moot point.
Just putting an idea out there for looking into. As I said above, I am willing to flag postings.
There is already a flag [!] a the bottom of this message. If you click the flag, a note will be sent to moderators, but the post will not be instantly removed.
Spammers are businessmen. Instant removal would reduce return on investment for the spammer and reduce the number of notes sent to moderators caused by multiple users reporting the same spam. Maybe the site is smart enough to summarize multiple reports rather than individually reporting each one.
