I swear, I did want to see this fight. Now though I'm sick and tired of hearing about it and have lost all interest in watching it. Every freaking radio show, sports oriented or not, has been talking about it every day for weeks now. Who is going to lose? The people paying $75 a pop to buy the pay perview to watch to guys with no other marketable skills make hundreds of millions of dollars.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

If anybody thinks it's going to be a "real" fight, it's not. This is the biggest WWE event in history, it's all about the money. The outcome has already been decided.

McGreggor could never beat a real boxer like Mayweather.

McGregor in the 4th by KO.

Some sort of controversy will take place.

Sets up a mega rematch

Mayweather wins late

sets up a mega mega rematch

Mayweather destroys McGregor

They said the same thing about the PacMan fight but Mayweather doesnt want to give up the 50-0. If it were some other fighter maybe but if McGreggor gets hit on the chin hes going down. He cant jump on him, kick him or choke him like in UFC. Mayweather will tire him out then take him down.

McGregor has more of a chance than most give him. He has an incredibly powerful, fast, and accurate left hand. As to the wrestling bits, he's not a wrestler. He uses it where he needs to in MMA, but he wins by knocking people out almost exclusively and has knocked out the best in MMA at his weight. And those folks weren't bums in any way. The biggest thing he will have to give up is kicks.

Not that he's necessarily going to win, but the folks who are laughing him off could be in for a shock. Even after cutting him some slack for the fact that he's the one stepping into someone else's sport, he hits stupidly hard and he does it very accurately, and he's a devastating counter puncher and he has a lot of reach.

I agree it's more of an event than a match. Doesn't matter who wins, they both get a payday that will let them retire in opulence if they want to. Not that either of them are suffering now.

One thing that would be funny would be Connor getting stunned, forgetting what's going on, and head kicking Mayweather into a coma.

BTW, if Mayweather wins, Connor should challenge him to an MMA match. Anyone care to bet on how many seconds Mayweather would last? Boxing may be the 'purer' sport, but being at the top of MMA requires a breadth of capabilities that would make the best boxer in the world look foolish.

If this were a real fight Connor could kill him.... literally.  He could end Mayweather's life a hundred different ways.

But it's not, it's only boxing and Mayweather is one of the best at it.
