Take over job. Previous installer put this motion/heat sensor in, but it never got hooked up to the control4 system so it can turn on the driveway light. Looked through a few pages of google images trying to find it with no luck so far.

Never seen something like that before. Very odd that there are no markings at all on it either, indicating what manufacture or even serial number on it.

Possible something from the aliexpress catalog from China? So it never came with instructions either, so no one could ever figure how to hook it up or what it needed?

That is odd looking, won't it just get buried with snow at that level anyway?

Can you get to the printed board to see if there are any markings on it?

Heck, you may strike gold if there are any ICs that are solely used by this company. Or low amount of companies that is.

It would of taken a bit more disassembly to get to the board. I'm thinking its unique enough that someone might recognize it.

And yeah, that thing is probably toast when it snows.. Trying to get him to let us move it up the pillar at least.

I'd bet on Optex, which specializes in outdoor sensors. As others have mentioned, there should be some type of markings inside the housing or on the circuit board. Normally there'd be a sticker on the back, but they probably removed it since the mounting doesn't appear to be standard.

Personally, if I were going to be responsible for it from now on, I'd replace it with something that I *KNOW* works, and is installed correctly.

Never seen that one before. Can you find an FCC or UL tag?
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Could be the Optex HX80.
