Well, there goes Angles List. It was at one time very good for us. We were big supporters of Angles List for quite a while. The customers were generally looking for someone to do the job the right way and not necessarily interested in the lowest price.

This all changed when they allowed free membership. Now there is not much difference between them and the other pay for lead services.

So long Angie....RIP
If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?

HA and before that Service Magic were very good until they started advertising on tv. It all went to crap then. All I get are requests for hang and bangs in apartment buildings from people that pray to a cow or a elephant that always try to renegotiate after the work is done. No thank you!!!

You guys know I was a big Service Magic fan.  I defended them through thick and thin, but everything changed when they became HomeAdvisor.

I actually just wrapped up a blog post about this very thing.  You can read it here.

If you're interested in getting serious about email lists/campaigns you can sign up at the end of the article and I'll send you out how to get started with email campaigns for your business so you can protect your business from these outside forces messing up your cashflow.

Now would actually be a great time for all of the guys who are associated with Angie's List to email their existing clients.
