Haven't been able to find them. Maybe in my search I'm not using the right terms.

This is just a house with about 4-5 cable splits and a few cat5 cables to stick into a box. Where do cable guys get theirs?

I use carlon and they are readily available at Home Depot. We put them in before stone, brick, whatever. We dont flush mount them, leave 1.5 " overhang to drill wires thru the bottom. Or surface mount.

Many sizes and depths.

Proper box for the job.
I'm shaking my head at what some of the other guys are 'trying' to use on here.

Is it really purple?

Actually, I don't like those. I don't want a hinge. I don't want a fat door. Harder to disguise and blend in. But to each his own. Many choices will work fine.

Ranger, if your choice is truly waterproof, I see no reason to change.

People came here to get this answer. Not everybody knew about it. Not everybody wants a box that looks like that.

Why the attitude?

It's gray on my monitor and in real life, but the color shown is not the exact color of the box.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The box I linked to is a very light pale grey, not purple (photography issues).

Ranger,
That box is one of the best I have ever used. You can remove the door completely when working on it, the door snaps back on the hinges. The hinges are very solid and I have never had any break.
Can put the door on the ground to throw stuff in as you are working, which helps when fighting in the bushes or tall grass.
Why would you NOT want a 'fat' door?
The size is the most important thing about this, it has plenty of room to give the proper bend radius to cabling. Lot of anchor point to secure wire as well.
If you are 'cramming' cables into a small box, you aren't doing yourself any favors - especially the customer.

A majority of houses around here have no box at all at the demarc. Most everything I see on here would be an improvement.

It's almost 2017 and you guys are still distributing cable and phone from box of wadded up wires on the side of the house?

Brad,
the two words
fat
cramming
are real words and you're using them correctly, so they don't need apostrophes.

I looked at the McMaster collection and found what I expected: boxes up to 13" x 13" x 6 3/4." There might be larger ones -- I only checked one type. Wires wouldn't need to be crammed in there!

just use it for the service feeds and to make to nice and presentable, at least until the service provider shows up.
