I'm just starting to use the URC line and trying to locate the "best" code for Yamaha Aventage line. I found the various models in the database but don't see any that have the Scenes? I've been looking at each database number and getting tired. They're probably right in front of me and I don't know it.

They are in there, I don't have my laptop in front of me right now thou. But URC scatters little code bits here & there under many different codes numbers. Drives me nuts! RTI does it too but not as bad as URC does. I sometimes have to use 3-4 different code sets to get all the codes I need for 1 device - just no sense in that.

Are you using TC or CCP? It would be best to just make your own driver with every command you need. Those can be easily pulled from all the different code sets URC has. This is pretty easy to do in TC. Make one, and be done. Use it on all jobs with that equipment.

I don't use TC but I do believe the CCP data base is a lot like an Easter egg hunt.
But as Tuck suggested, I create my own CCP device files for components that I install regularly and import those into new projects over and over again. This is not difficult and saves a lot of time.

ok, thanks. I'll continue the "easter egg hunt".......I know they're there......somewhere. I'm sure I just need to get my head wrapped around URC's database

Shafer has it right for many models. Many of the receivers come with the scene buttons labeled this way an not scene 1-4. That is why they are labeled BDDVD, TV, CD, Radio as who ever put them in the database labeled them the same as what was on the physical buttons at the time. The current models use 'NET' instead of CD.

On a side note, I've never been able to find good Denon scene codes in CCP for the newer Denon receivers.
Anyone been able to find those?
