Eagles, Hell Freezes Over seems to get the most attention for music.

Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean and the like for the movie audio.

Animated for the imagery.

Definitely concert videos. The John Mayer one always seems to work really well. I must have had at least a few dozen people standing in theater spaces for 10+ minutes after getting pulled in by that show. There is also a Chris Botti one that's good as well.

Definitely concerts. Try to keep the music light and trans generational (Elton John, Billy Joel, Toto, Sade etc) A couple of years ago one of our competitors had a great theater room but the kids they had manning the display were playing Metallica and it was literally driving people through the room like a stampede. Movies are cool for the LFE and surround attention grabbers but we found we were constantly having to shoo kids away when parents felt they could just drop their kids off for the show to watch the movie.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

Witnessed two different incidents of this happening.

One in a Showcase of Homes, where some person put a porn DVD in, hit play and left. Luckily, it was discovered pretty quick.

The best ever happened at CES when someone went around to the various booths, set the DTV feeds to porn channels, and hid the remotes.

That was just damn hilarious. All these suits running around not knowing what to do.

You got to think however, porn channels are always a separate subscription on any service. So someone was paying for those channels to be there in the 1st place :)

Yeah, for whatever reason, DTV had let everything go live to CES that year.

The big vendors were the ones to have this happen to them. Three were hit almost simultaneously.

Probably ran no more than 10 minutes total, but.....

So how did you pull this off? ;)

That one wasn't me. Wish I had thought of it.....

But, you know those little tiny URC remotes? Yeah I did. :-)

Pixar movies are great for quick samplings. The surround sound is good, and people are amazed at the graphics. They usually mentally skip passed its computer animation. Also, the Hobbit is another good one. In a quick pass through, the graphics are amazing. Background sound is good enough to draw the viewer in.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.
