Back to the FLIPpin' house I'm working on.

There's a DirecTV Wireless Video Bridge ([Link: weaknees.com]) up on the wall in the kitchen, connected to the only RG6 that the sat installer was able to find in the house. It's fortunately placed in the center of the house.

But I've finally found 21 wires that had been shoved inside the wall before a crummy wall patch job was done, and several of those are RG6.

I need to know how to reconfigure the SWM wiring to add a DVR to the system.

Right now, a single lead from the SWM dish goes to a 12V power supply in the garage; the cable goes from there to the Wireless Video Bridge, then on to a Genie right next to it. In four rooms there are RF receivers that get their programming from the bridge. Yup, I didn't write down their model numbers.

I've found the statement that a DVR can be combined with a system like this, but I haven't been able to locate a drawing showing just how to do it, in particular showing if a different SWM power supply might be needed.

I also can't get into satinstalltraining. In fact, though I first heard about that site here, a search for it shows the word has never been mentioned. So, weird.

Any help is appreciated.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

In the middle of the night it finally occurred to me: such a large percentage of my DirecTV installs have been commercial that I totally forgot that the DirecTV guys have to work out the kinks in a residential system. I've found cabling that allows it. It's up to them to make it work.

Even then, a DVR would only be needed in the theater if the Video Bridge system didn't perform perfectly.
