For those using alarm.com... what are your alarm.com retail rates keeping in mind the recent changes (just the resi gold interactive plan for starters)? I can take answers via RC Mail...

Thanks!

I don't sell it as an option or separate line item. All alarms get alarm.com.

Alarm.com sits in between compatible panels (like 2Gig) and whatever monitoring station you have, or are using.

You can get email and SMS notifications, but then also use their website and apps to view and control thermostats, cameras, lights, arm and disarm the alarm etc. They have a pretty robust interface for the end user in terms of basic programming of the system, setting motion zones and sensitivity on their cameras, and, of course, they will forward any alarm signals to a monitoring station for dispatch.

...I assume you charge for it though. I am just curious what people are charging and how they are structuring. I am interested to know so my pricing is informed and competitive.

More detail on my company:
We typically only use it only for security systems (no cameras, tstats, etc...).
Most clients have the gold interactive coupled with central station forwarding.

I looked at ADT, Vivint, and a couple of local companies to see what they are charging. I factored in that most companies require a long term contract and subsidize the equipment, which I don't do. I'm right around $45-$50 a month for alarm.com gold interactive including central station monitoring.

I think ADT and Vivint are right around $50 for cell/interactive and they include an all-in-one panel and a handful of sensors.

I charge $34.99 or $44.99 with a maintenance agreement plus $99 installation, activation with a 36 month agreement. I also offer a flat out cost. Most customers opt for the $34.99 month. 80% have the basic interactive. Or gold if lighting, thermostats, or locks are included.
