We had fun in retail. In the late-'70s.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Damn, I'd blocked out the CC months. Thanks Mike, for bringing back those nightmares.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

CC was nothing like that. Their managers ALL yelled at you. Their policy was "you're not doing a good enough job, now matter what". They simply would not say a single good thing about any employees.

I found this video hilarious and spot on though.

I spent most of my life in as an installer in a retail environment and it pretty much sucked.
Put in 60 hours by Friday, then get a call on Saturday or Sunday to fill in for a salesman that has a hangover and cant make it to work!

Good times..........
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Not show up because of a hangover? What kind of wusses did you work with????????? Some of the guys where I worked were still drunk when they came in.

They were fun to watch, later in the day.

That fact seems to not settle in the upper management mind.

So many companies go down that same road.

When I worked for someone else, I was told I was making too much money, so my commission rate had to be reduced.

I told the owner, I guess that my sales rate could be reduced and we would get to the same place.

He cut my rate, I cut my hours. Used the time to find another job.

Got asked why I quit.

The suits just never seem to get it.

But so many of them have an MBA.
