The root of the problem are the vast number of flipping shows. As mentioned, some are fake, some are not flipping, and most have unrealistic numbers. To remodel a kitchen for $10k is not even at all possible! And nobody short of professional could make $30K+ per home like they portray. They give the "somewhat" handy person the idea they can do it by themselves. And with today's building code, good luck passing any inspection if you don't know what you're doing. It's good TV though...

I was able to reveal a nice rats' nest of cabling behind a 2" diameter poorly done patch inside a 10" x 12" poorly done patch. It's four feet from where I wanted it to be, so that turns out to be pretty easy to deal with. We've also discovered RG6 hidden in every room where we need it. But jeez it was a poor start to a project, and there's still no data wiring anywhere.

Losing
