I'm looking for product name or better yet -- a part number for this male connector. It comes from Pentair pool relay controller, if that helps.

[Link: amazon.com]Also, it looks like Jandy uses that same plug on some of it's connections for some devices. edit: [Link: poolandspapartssuperstore.com]Edit: This is the only plug I can find for these boards. It might very well be the one that works. Here is a link to reasonable prices for it: [Link: shop.poolandpatiocenter.com]Note = I would call Pentair and ask.

That looks like the same plug used in some surveillance cameras, for the test lead that allows connecting the camera to a monitor when someone is up on a ladder, so they don't need to disconnect the main cable to the DVR. Digital Watchdog and Golden State use it.

Digital Watchdog and Golden State use it. They are similar in design but the pool control ones look larger with larger gauge wire and 4 guide slots instead of 2. Haven't seen the test leads for DW & GS but other CCTV cameras I've seen were not the same plug.

The ones in the original photo have the wires entering from the side, not straight in but I'm sure they come in several versions, with different wire gauge.

Different gauge wire often dictates a different size connector, especially when you are dealing with small plugs like this. The original picture Mario posted (with tape measure - kudos on that), looks to be larger than your standard mini plug, found on the circuit board of common electronics we are use to dealing with. Plus, the plugs Pentair is using has guides on the side as well as the opposing snap.
The ones Mario has been directed to look similar to the ones we are use to seeing (and on those test connectors). The poster on the other forum said they worked fine and were a perfect fit. I just know that some people have wonky standards about what fits. Obviously the plug will got into the socket, just wonder if it's a 'perfect' fit or it wiggles a bit because it's actually a size to small. Either way, if it works then it works.

i am pretty sure I still have a box full of those connectors. Used on DEI (Viper) car alarms. Go see a local car audio guy and see if they have some.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other. |
