I have a wired network connection to the gate. Resi customer just wants keypad access and also to have the gate call his cell phone with video and intercom capabilities, as well as the ability to open the gate remotely. Does not need on-wall monitor - he's fine with just cell phone communication only.
Door bird and secondary keypad. Or skip the secondary keypad and pull out your phone when you want to open the the gate and let yourself in.
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV. My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.
This is the unit I was considering using. I talked to him about doing a doorbird set up but he likes the look of this unit much better. It looks good, just hoping to get feedback on anyone who has used this, or has a more time tested alternative.
This unit takes a photo of all callers. You can initiate a video from the phone, but it does not store video clips like Ring.
