I have a customer that wants to set up an outdoor theater in his yard for movie nights. He already has the screen, projector, receiver, and bluray player. I would be providing the speakers (probably Rockustics) as far as gear goes. I would be working with his landscape design company for the trenching and conduit installation to the speakers. The screen in a mobile style from Elite that he can set up with ease on his own.

I was looking for an easy solution where all the gear would be in something like a ProAV case or Pelican case type-thing that he can wheel out to the same specific location each time he wants to watch movies and just plug in power and the speaker banana plugs. I would probably have some type of sealed box installed in-ground that would house all the cables when not in use.

I was thinking something like this:

He can fiddle with the zoom and focus correction each time to get it perfect.

Has anyone here done anything like this before?

Thanks.

Use on of these. Get MA to make you an RSH shelf for the projector.

Wouldn't it be easier to permanently install the audio in the house? Bury a cat5 to where the projector will live, put in some power and an outdoor data jack. That way he only has to plug in the projector and an hdbaset receiver.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

The only space that will accommodate the theater area wont permit any kind of indoor gear. There's also decking, a pool, retaining walls, traffic area, etc. that leaves only 1 place.

We did a job for a outdoor audio system for live music reproduction. The equipment is stored in a bigfoot mobile cart. Lots of options for the equipment and projector.
