Credit to Brad -- see 4th post.

Looks like this device got replaced with another device 590-10 that no longer shows up at the xantech site. [Link: xantech.com]

How many do you need? 10- a week, 100 a month? 40000 ASAP?
How much do you have in the budget for them?

How soon do you need them?

PM me if you are not comfortable with the numbers in an open forum.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

EV351- where are you located?

His profile says Sydney, Australia. Always check the profile.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

There are some places that still have the Xantech 590-10. Or so they say they have stock. But you are correct, it has been discontinued and stock is getting low.
Because of that, pricing is all over the place - amazon shows $300, while another place shows $200.
And this will require him to get a copy of the programming software from somewhere (Dragon Drop-IR) which was a pain in the butt to use.

The writing is on the wall for this. I know you want to keep going with the current system as long as you can. But I'm afraid the time for a whole new setup has come NOW. Not really anything you can do about it... Sorry.

On the other hand, maybe Xantech would entertain manufacturing, say, 4,000 of these (10% of the eventual replacement need) for a special order, with 4,000 more every so many years if needed. Companies do special orders, and this would be simpler than the normal special order as they have all the information required to make them.

...And, there is a chance that if all/most of the TVs are the same, that Xantech would be willing to pre-program them with IR codes.

This can also be done with RTI (and most other) sensing type control processors. The challenge cost wise is the number/sequence of button presses (and logic tracking)

the XP6 should work fine as it has 6 sensing inputs which can trigger IR codes, macro's or other protocols when a trigger or a momentary contact is closed.

The software is easy for dealers to program and adjust as products change. The negative is it sells for $600 and you'll need to purchase sensor kits separately. There may be less expensive options, and if you didn't need it to be controlled by relays then it gets much easier. But as discussed, figuring out unit counts and engineering a specific product in conjunction with a manufacturer will probably be your best solution long term.
