I've gone through two water pipes.
In one case I was drilling down in the corner of an interior room in a house undergoing major remodeling. The wood just kept going and going. Below that wall was 2x6 fillers going down to the concrete wall-type foundation.

Drilling was difficult until the bit suddenly slipped an inch. I brought it up wet. Aw, Crap monkeys!

I had gone under the house several times. It took me about forty seconds to pick my way past all the crap down there, but after I pulled up a wet bit it took me only 15 seconds!
From other contractors:
"Where's the shutoff?" Nobody knew.
"Gee, isn't it amazing how seldom that happens?"
Called a plumber, got the pipe repaired. Bad day. Was working as a sub.

Another time, not water this time, I carefully measured where to drill to go from the top of one wall up into the attic diagonally. I failed to notice, however, that the far walls I measured off of were four feet out of line with one another.

The client walked into the living room and asked if there should be a drill bit sticking out of the wall above the master bed. Again, Crap monkeys!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

We ordered several thousand $ of Bay audio product on Friday. Received it on Monday morning. Got the shutdown/bye bye warranty letter Monday night.

By far the stupidest thing I've done in a very long time.

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

Ouch. I'm sure there is no way you will sign up with an Ira Friedman company again after that.

I can't believe the article at CEPRO. Who thought it would be a good idea to use a single article to tell existing dealers to go to hell while announcing your new startup? Crazy.

Not sure but it sounds like something that the porn filters should have blocked here at the forum.

BTW, I really don't care if Bruce's water story is true or not.

I was entertained when I read it.

[Link: urbandictionary.com]

I was using the expression for at least ten years before someone posted it there. To me it's an amusing portmanteau of "aw, CRAP!" and any expression that uses the word "monkey" in an amusing but, really when you think of it, an inappropriate way, such as "wire monkey." If there can be a wire monkey for pulling wires, why can't there be a crap monkey to help you express your frustration or dissatisfaction?
