Guys,
Here's my problem...installed a simple TV set up, Denon S700 receiver, LG TV, Episode 3 channel passive soundbar and 2 in ceiling rears for the surrounds. After a month, customer says he doesn't have enough sound for the rest of the lower level. I installed 2 more pairs of in ceiling speakers to fill in the required dead areas, hooked them up to a speaker selector and then to Zone 2 on the Denon. I got what I was afraid of, the main speakers are slightly delayed (due to processing I imagine)compared to the zone 2 speakers. I there any way I can delay Zone 2 to sync up with the Main zone?

I haven't used an S700, but in 2012, they said they eliminated the delay problems. Try 5 ch stereo or Party mode.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

If you play both zones on the same source, switch to Game mode. This was tipped by Matt before he hit the jackpot.

I've been strictly using Yamaha Aventage AVR recently, Yamaha's Party mode seems to solve the delay problem nicely.

Hit the option key on the remote, then select ALL ZONE STEREO to sync everything up.

For those using control systems - here are the IP/232 Commands:

MNZST ON = All Zone Stereo On
MNZST OFF = All Zone Stereo Off
MNZST? = Return All Zone Stereo Status

Thanks,

If you ever do need to delay another analog zone without affecting primary zone (DD or DTX is required for surround or whatever) there are devices that will do that.
