Glad this is over.

Now y'all can pick on the old man like usual....

The only saving grace today from me turning, ugh 40, is knowing you're WAY older. Thanks for that buddy.

Self-pity, drama, anger and shame. That's what you missed.

At 36 I occasionally still get carded for alcohol, either bar or store. Most of the time, it's kids who are carding me. When I hand them my card, I say "you were probably in diapers when I left the 7th grade." "Oh wow, you're probably right."
Not sure about cigarettes as it's been 5 years since I quit.

I typically get the, "oh wow, I thought you were a lot younger." I think that has more to do with my behavior. The rogue grey hairs has altered the amount of instances I hear this of late though :-(

I forget how much gray I have until I get a haircut. Then I just look at the cape as all the gray clippings pile up and I start to cry silently to myself. But the roughest part was the first time the girl that cuts my hair stuck her small trimming clippers in my ear. I was all. "WHAT THE..." thinking she was either not paying attention or trying to be funny. Then before I could say anything, she did the other ear. talk about a kick in the gut

It's bad when you have MORE hair in your ears, nose, and on your ass, than you do on you head....

At least having hair on your butt helps with a cold toilet seat... :-)

A friend of mine turned 60, and was talking to his dad on the phone. He said, "Dad I'm depressed, turning 60 already." His dad replied, "don't feel bad, I have a son who's 60."
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
