I sure miss her. Greece here we come.
Wouldn't the founding fathers be scratching their heads in disbelief as they screen "WTF! This was not the path freedom!" But they could most definitely pin point the wrong turns.
We can still be great. But certainly need a different route.

I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone. |

We can still be great. But certainly need a different route. They might also be screaming "Where are my slaves?" and "Why are women voting"? Why should we roll back the march of democracy to match their dated opinions? Even the founders knew the Constitution was an imperfect document from the day it was drafted. That's why the Bill of Rights was added, and many amendments since.

One thing is sure: this is the greatest country on the planet.
Those of us born here are, very simply, used to living in the US. Most of us have no reference point for realizing what a wonderful country this is. The more I see and hear about other countries, the luckier I feel to be a US Citizen!
Those few who feel the US is a bad country cannot answer this question: Why do so many from all over the world want to come to the US?
I once spoke with the owner of a donut shop. Over the years I had seen him, his wife, and his kids working at all times of day and night. I found he was from Cambodia. I commented that he was always at work. His reply was that he worked a lot, but HE WAS FREE.
And there it is.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"... |

The wrong turns? LOL this nation exists because of wrong turns. It was born when the "Americans" decided to stop paying taxes, engage in terrorism and treason against the British. Oh and a bit of genocide and slavery never hurts when you are nation building.
FFWD a hundred years and we are the beacon of freedom and hope...WW1 and WW2 roll around and we become global heroes...even those we slaughtered and enslaved are now proud to call themselves American...the dream of democracy and freedom are finally realized...and then corporate America turned our military into a resource grabbing security force. Our citizens into consumer slaves. This perversion of our government/military is why our country is engaged in perpetual war for resources. The war is sold as "freedom fighting" to the sheep who gobble that murica sh!t up.
Or were you just talking about how the GOP hired an Actor to trick people into living life on their knees praying something trickles down to them?

Those few who feel the US is a bad country cannot answer this question: Why do so many from all over the world want to come to the US? Out of the fire into the frying pan. It's not as bad but that doesn't make it good. The United States is as good as it gets thats for sure...but we are at about a 3.5 star (our of 5) rating. Lots of work to do. I once spoke with the owner of a donut shop. Over the years I had seen him, his wife, and his kids working at all times of day and night. I found he was from Cambodia. I commented that he was always at work. His reply was that he worked a lot, but HE WAS FREE.
And there it is. Immigrants are shocked when they come here and find out that A.They can work and B.They can make a decent living whether they make donuts or become a lawyer and C.They can (for the most part) fall asleep at night without worrying about machete wielding raiders smashing through their front door to take what they have and mutilate their children. I wish the folks with anti-immigrant sentiment could spend the night in one of the places that people tend to flee...it might help them understand why they come here. Or not...some people are just d!cks.

Until we start using those drones right here in the USA to blow up wedding parties to get the "home grown" bad guys. Those few who feel the US is a bad country cannot answer this question: Why do so many from all over the world want to come to the US? Maybe because the USA is basically a meal ticket for all these many from all over the world to get a bunch of free shit that all of us USA citizens foot the bill for. Especially all these many from all over the world that sneak in illegally. And there it is.
