I need an automated wall mount swing arm mount for 70"-80" TV with soundbar attached on top or bottom.  Forum search had a little info from 2013 and the only one I'm really finding is the Chief PXRUB which says it can't be used with a soundbar?

[Link: chiefmfg.com]

Can anyone recommend a solution for the following requirements:
  1. At least 24" extension (more would be better).
  2. Ability to have the screen extend to at least two different preset locations.
  3. Work with soundbar that will probably be located above the TV
  4. Compatible with 70"-80" TV
Tried Future Automations website, but it seems to be broken for me and not loading images or documents.

I think you probably could use the Chief unit with a soundbar, as long as you didn't exceed the weight limits.

But finding an 80" display that fits within the requirements could be a problem, so maybe 70" would be the maximum.

Using the Chief specs:

Sharp LED as an example (I know you wouldn't, but).

No 80" would seem to work.

But, the 70" LC-80UH30U, is well within the requirements, and leaves plenty of room (nearly 70lbs) for the additional weight of a soundbar.

I'd check the specs on what panels & soundbars you might like to recommend.

I did the chief not too long ago with a Samsung 75". Opted not to mount the soundbar because of what the instructions said but I think it would have worked fine.

I called and asked Chief about their statement about no soundbar and finally got to an engineer who told me that it was indeed because of weight. They didn't want the liability of the additional weight and throwing off the weight balance of the mount. I pestered him and asked how they could possibly account for the different centers of gravity for every large TV (for weight balance) and as long as we stayed within their published weight limit with a soundbar, how would this be any different? He finally admitted that it makes no difference, and that if we stayed within the weight limit we should be fine.

So we used the PXRUB with a 79" LG and a soundbar (and were under the weight limit). It works, but I wouldn't do it again. The LG is a little off balance weight wise and droops slightly to one side when retracted fully in the cabinet. It is fine when out at one of the stops.

We'll definitely be using Future Automation for the next one.

Thanks... the TV is going to have to be nice and level when retracted so the Future Automation unit is probably the better choice, but I'm not a dealer for their products.

Can anyone provide approximate retail pricing for the Future Automation QA2-60 mount and the optional back box?

I have a feeling that if you send a couple pictures of your work, or some other dealer does, they will jump at the chance to have you as a customer.
