After reading throuh this it seems people can not make meetings without a watch and the watch has the ability to make you work out. I am left scratching my head, and no it is not dandruff. These companies are just taking shots and hoping we buy it. I will wait for the apple ring to come out. I can use my phone as the display for the ring and we will be lead to believe that is ok.

We are addicted to technology. Everywhere you go, people are looking down stoop-shouldered at their damn phones. I go out to a bar or restaraunt, and see couples both staring at their phones, instead of interracting with one another.
If my date were on her phone like that, I'd kick her to the curb. Just sayin' It must be going to start raining pigs... I agree with you Stan

Our family is entrenched in Apple, but I think I will wait for Watch 2.0. I made the mistake of buying the first iPad, which was great, but a tank by today's standards.
It needs to be thinner and I believe the heart rate monitor needs some tweaks, but the majority who own an Apple Watch love them from what I have been reading.

I agree with this article a lot. My wife and each have an apple watch. We got them right before vacation so even though I've had it 3 weeks I've just started really using it. for notifications and texts it is awesome. Also for calendar updates and keeping upcoming events in mind and of course checking the time without pulling out my phone (hard habit to break). i haven't worn a watch for years so it is taking some getting use to. I would like a lighter one. My my wife really likes hers and has been wearing diligently and loves the health feedback. We primarily bought for health tools.

Im by NO means an apple fan boy or a bandwagon type guy. I dont own a mac and will likely never. But I love technology. Its what I do. I felt compelled to test the waters. WHEN I remember to wear it, havent worn a watch in years, I use it. Alot. When I forget to wear it, i miss it. Its crazy handy even if just for little things, without having to pull out the phone: check messages, get DashOS notifications, timers, checking time (yes, it actually does that), sending text. Ive grown to be fond of it and and find it a really good time saver and very convenient.
What I HATE about it is my voice notifications are turned OFF on my phone so I dont get my voice notifications, ie, "Driveway Alert" or "front door unlocked", etc. I now have to look at the watch when it "tings". Thats a design flaw and likely a fix on a firmware update. We should have the option to decide if we want voice notification off or on the phone.
I habitually skip a model on apple products and get every other one (phone). Given I find pretty good value in the convenience in the watch, I may very well buy the next model, much to my hesitation. Yup, I like it that much. Hate to even admit that though lol.
