I've been asked to help with a face lift for a senior center in my neighborhood. They asked for the possibility of two wall mounted 50"+ TV's with a DVD connected and split the signal. The big problem is, they don't really have any wall space to mount them nor any power close by.
They do have a large stage that has the possibility to mount a pull down screen and use a projector (proj approx. 37' away from screen.
The use would be for watching movies or Karaoke. They have two "old" Electrovoice speakers (LR45A Radiators, 8 ohm, 40 watts) on the wall but it seems like they go to XLR floor plugs.....I asked and they said they haven't used them in a long time.
Since they're 8 ohms can I connect a stereo receiver to them for audio? If so, would there be any possible lip sync issues while watching DVD's?
The other possibility would be to get some type of cart system and bolt a 60"- 65" to it so they could move it around. I'm just worried about them tipping it over or getting rolled out the door by someone.......
Looking for ideas if anyone has dealt with anything similar......THANKS

For seniors centers the best way to approach this is to make it so they don't have to think about what they are doing. They want to watch a movie the turn on the projector and the screen comes down.
You can't fix stupid

What's the budget? What size screen? How big is the viewing area? Number of seats? Seating distance? The 37' foot throw will add to the cost. Can you use a short throw projector instead?
