Has anyone used the Roku with TWC? I'm trying to see if there is any ability to access a DVR with the Roku.
I've been scouring the Internet to see but haven't found any current posts related the the DVR and possible viewing.
What I'd love to to is put in two Roku's in a clients house and and a DVR with the Roku's and some of the TWC "clients" being able to access the DVR's recordings. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Have you used a Roku? Go out and buy one of the cheap ones and play with it.

Roku has an app called 'Roku Media Player' and another called 'Plex'. They both play content from other sources, but I doubt the TWC DVR will work because they format the video differently, even if you use an outboard hard drive.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Yes, I have a Roku. I'm inquiring about the specific TWC app that is in Roku. It allows you to get your TWC channels (that you subscribe to) without the need of one of there stb's . I know it'll work as a stand alone player but my question is, can it retrieve shows on a TWC DVR if set up as a whole home system.

But you do need their router, as shown on the description for that channel in the list.

NO. It will not allow access to shows recorded on a DVR. It is a streaming app that allows you to stream most of the channels that you have a subscription to. BTW it does not stream the local channels from your area, so watching a baseball game broadcast on a local channel is out as well.
