Does anyone out there have any real world use of any products from Video Storm?? I am hesitant but one of my guys really wants to try it....Also NOT cheap.

Website needs Plenty HELP....http://www.video-storm.com

Their solutions Sound really good as it puts an infinite number of sources on the Network!! Depending on how many "boxes" you use in the system.

The back bone is XMBC which I have had great luck with...

Any help would be great before I get myself into a Science Project.

Thoughts?

I use it at home every day.
I've used jap as well and each have there pros and cons.
We are planning a few projects now around them.

I have used their audio Netplay units for squeezebox and they have been rock solid and if I have had any issues their tech support has been really helpful every time.

From everything I have seen Video Storm uses H264, where as all others use Mpeg4 which is always glitchy..

Video Storm must be really small though as they are B/O on products for 3-4 weeks while waiting for shells to be "painted"....???
That makes me nervous for my clients, if anything fails---and IT WILL!! LOL

A few things you might want to consider:

1) Just Add Power devices do NOT use Mpeg4. Please don't say that they do.

2) VS is just a Raspberry Pi in a funky case. Their supply/demand issues are entirely out of their control.

3) Because VS is a Raspberry Pi, they do not have a viable roadmap to get to 4K, while HDBT and our HDIP technologies can move into the 4K market.

Now we are getting the REAL skinny!!

[Link: video-storm.com] The list of "local installers" is a fun read- and hey, they accept bitcoin for payment! Pfffft.
