Looking at their pricing, 30 days of cloud storage for 8 cameras would run $1350/per-year! Going with just 10 days of cloud storage for 8 cameras is still $450/per-year. Ouch.

I saw the Dropcam connection in that article but I didn't think to search the forum for "Dropcam". I see that it has been thoroughly discussed.

Just wondering and too lazy to look. How does 30 days turn into a year? There's something very basic that explains this. I have no idea what it is.

if you want to be able to review the last 30 days of footage, over the course of a year, you'll pay $1350.

So if you subscribe Jan 1, on Feb 1, you can review everything the cams recorded. On feb 2nd Jan1 is lost.

Of course, here is where you start talking about the fact that January has 31 days and February only has 28 this year, but next year it has 29.

That's because you didn't deride them for not saying if it was a Julian year, Gregorian, or Revised Julian. :-)
