I'm surprised someone doesn't use solid surface counter material for the base. Sure, MDF is cheap, but it still has to be cut & finished and solid surface wouldn't be affected by humidity.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

do you mean marble or fake marble? I've seen something that could be called solid surface counter material that is formica over particle board, so ??
