The new UI on is kind of dumb. Screw your "featured apps" Sony. And why can I not hide or delete unused or unwanted apps. Actually, give me an option to completely turn off or hide anything related to anything besides playing a disc in the machine. Give me a "dumb" mode to remove all the "smart" crap. We have Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire boxes that do this stuff better. Preaching to the choir, I know.
I love the new UI. In fact, I have been using it as my streamer lately. It works so well I was able to pull my Apple TV off of my 4x4 matrix and replace it with the feed from my NVR. Not certain I would do the same in a customer's house, but so far I am really happy with it.
