We all love interior designers? This one is the best I've seen. Only wish I had a picture. So, I had a MTX-3 in a kitchen sitting on a island for control of the room. Customer could either plug it in on the island or in the cabinet if it needed to be hidden. No one ever complained about the remote. Well, not everyone. Interior designer decided it wasn't a good place for the remote. They had the contractor plug the charging base into the wall behind the TV and Velcro the base to a tiled wall. I didn't even know about it until the frantic call, "My remote doesn't work"

ID's are crazy.

However, the velcro nor tiled wall caused a fault in the remote, correct? :)

Correct. The floor did when it fell off the "table top" dock and smashed as soon as they hung it on the new "wall mount" dock

Haha, the other day I had a job where it was a built in media cabinet. It head lights and a frame around the TV. All is well on my part...then the customer asked Meir I knew why the lights didn't work? We have an electrical license but HO only contracted us for AV. ID had her electrician...anyways the customer graciously offered to pay me to fix the lights since the electrician wasn't going to be back for a week. I pulled down a light and noticed NO wire to any lights. Turns out the cabinet guy just put the lights in but forgot to have the electrician run wire & didn't bother to run the wire himself. He thought the electrician would come back and fish the wires. Turns out he had to take out the whole unit because you couldn't get wire to any of the lights LOL....then to top it off the ID said it was my job to wire the lights not her electrician or cabinet guy since the lights are apart of the "media cabinet" and I was contracted for the "media"

Da fuq??????
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

What did they say when you explained that it wasn't your job since it wasn't discussed during the initial consultation, it's not on the proposal or in the contract?
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
