Is there any TV's out there that allow for IP control?

Bonovox sent me this [Link: control4.com]

Looks like im going to start specking sony, especially since a local distributor picked up the line and there is actually enough margin on the x/w series to make it worth dealing with again.

Im just so sick and tired of dealing with RS232/IR emitters.

I would also like to know of any blu-ray players that are IP enabled (aside from marantz)

We have just finished a few Control4 jobs with Sony 4k XBR (2014 models), so far I have been very impressed. It does look like a perfect TV for CI's - IP and RS232 control, wired Ir input , fixed and variable audio out that can be also set for LFE only, very nice picture, 5.1 pass-thru for Sonos playbar (not 100% positive on this one) , and finally a decent margin.
As far as IP controlled blurays - Sony as well, C4 now has a driver that used be sold by EV guys.

Out of curiosity what are your issues with IR or RS-232? Just being forced to extend them and provide enough control ports?

I haven't had emitter troubles in a long time and RS-232 usually works the first time or after swapping pins 2 and 3 :).

Not eating up ports is one reason.

IR placement, is becoming more and more challenging.

LG has dropped DB9 it seems, and the USB to RS232 is not optimal, and may not allow for power on.

I will check out Sony again. I looked last year and was turned off by the wedge.
