Most of the time New London county is more expensive than the rest of the state. Going to gasbuddy. Enter 06384 and comparing it to 06339, you see 10 results in 06384 before getting into the price range of 06339.

Not that many manufacturers down this way. So taxes for the most part are more.

KOT

New London County is not as expensive as Fairfield County. Just throwing a zip code off the top of my head in Stamford shows the lowest price as $3.09 with at least one station still over $4. Greenwich will net even higher results

I stopped giving a hoot long ago. The price of gas is the price of gas whether I bitch about it out not. Same with milk, electricity, copper, water, etc. Bitching never made anything cheaper for me so I stopped bitching.

Thats 1.99 a litre right? We are at around £1.25 a litre at the moment, lowest its been for ages....

US gallon... I think that works out to £0.33 per litre, but in the UK you'd have a heaping pile of taxes on that.

Gas around where I am in Toronto area is averaging $1.019 per litre (with tax), lowest it's been in a long time, which works out to $3.33 USD per gallon. And that's why Canadians driving to the US always come back with a full tank. :-)

Still its around 3.19 here (damn taxes). Was readin an interesting article saying that now, knuckleheads will go out and buy gas guzzlers, as if prices won't go up again!

This wont last for long---maybve a year if we are lucky.

It IS a help to thos on limited incomes though.

I filled my tank in my 2001 GMC Savanna 3500 10' cube van (32 gal tank) the other day and thought something was wrong because it only cost like $76 to fill her up on empty!!! I had gotten so used to never pulling away from the pump for under a $100...

I had the same reaction tonight in West Palm Beach, FL. I filled up a 10 gallon nissan juke and the pump stopped before it hit $30 so i instinctively tried to pump more only to find out it was FULL.

I can remember when i first started driving in the early 90's. A 10 gallon Ford Festiva. I could fill up and get a coke for $10 in Chicago.

Playing the "I remember" thing:

When I got out of the Navy I bought a 66 VW Beetle to go with my 66 Corvette. I would drive the bug back and forth to work during the week, and the Vette on weekends.

$7.00 for a fill up in the bug lasted all week.

$15.00 for a fill up in the Vette lasted a day if I was lucky.

Dupe...

That's US $1.99 for a gallon = $.525 per litre. Your £1.25 a litre = $7.43 per gallon.

It's arithmetic. I could be wrong.

Meanwhile, gas is about 45 cents US per gallon* in Saudi Arabia.......

*45 halala per liter

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

$2.13 a gallon here in north Georgia. However the $20 saved at the pump is causing a much larger inverse effect on the retirement savings. $3.00/gal and stability in pricing would be a reasonable balance.

Just under $3.00 here in the Rockies. We are in a remote resort area so everything costs more.

We are in the $2.40's. The taxes on fuel are the insane part.

Here's a crude way of figuring out how much taxes you pay in your state.
