Hi guys. I just had a projector vendor over and he showed us a couple of projectors. I liked the picture of the Christie (the other was a Hitachi), but should see some latter from a different vendor. I also noticed that it had 8 code sets which would be helpful since there will be two projectors in the room and that means I don't need to go with two different brands of projectors. My question is that I need to use composite and s-video at the same time and be able to discretely switch between the two (as well as comp1) using a Pronto, can the Christie do that? The sales guy said that he would ask his tech guy, but I trust you guys. Also any reasons not to go with a Christie?

nobody used this projector before, only used it with RS-232 or just don't want to help? Sorry for sounding rude, but I need to make my final recommendation ASAP and it is an important factor.

BTW there were three projectors in the afternoon Mitsubishi XL30, NEC VT770, NEC MT1065 and the Christy is still my front runner but only if it has discrete IR input codes

Just in case anyone is interested, it does have discrete input codes at least for composite, s-video, Computer RGB, component as well as many other discrete codes and some setup codes. I might send in my Pronto PCF in latter with on/off and the few inputs (what I was looking for) and the XL file with the rest of the findings

Typing in all caps is considered yelling and rude. Learn to type!

Here is a link that should help for those codes:

Those are the RS232 codes. He's asking for IR codes.

I don't think the IR codes are published anywhere online for that projector. So you have 2 options: 1) Contact Christie to get an IR file with the codes in it. 2) Buy another IR remote from Christie to learn the codes from.

Question: That is a fairly new projector, the customer has already lost the original remote that had all the codes on it???

????
You haven't given us any information at all.
What automation program? What home theater (components?)? What are you trying to do?

Need all details or it is impossible to help you.
