Has anyone played with this thing yet? Connects wireless to your smart phone. They have a selection of pretty neat gadgets that connect to your phone. Moisture sensor, laser level, laser distance finder, IR thermometer, stud finder, etc.

Some of the items in that line look interesting. But the stud finder is completely stupid. It takes two hands to opperate and is slow because of calibration time. Unless this thing is 1000 times more accurate than other stud finders, it's a total fail.

The laser level is pretty cool and has some nice features that others don't

Yeah, I agree that needing two hands is kind of dumb. But I like that there's a built in marker to mark the wall...

Robin has stepped up their tool game lately. I have been really impressed with all their "green" tools. I have exclusively switched over to them. The price difference is totally worth it. The quality has come up substantially since the "blue" tools. As long as your using the 4ah battery they last forever!! Plus they have a bunch of outdoor tools as well. I just bought their 40v lawn mower and it's unbelievable. I hope they make a 40v hole hawg haha

I'm defiantly going to try out the new phone works system.
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

You have to calibrate on an area of the wall that doesn't have a stud. If I knew where the stud was I wouldn't need the stud finder...
You can't fix stupid

Don't all stud finders need to be calibrated on an area where there is no stud? I've always looked for an outlet/switch. Then went about 6 inches away from it to calibrate it. Crossed over that stud to see if it sees it.

This guy doesn't have to be calibrated and is the only stud find I trust. It's fantastic.

Yes, I bought one about a year ago, and wouldn't use anything else!

I still have an old deepscan stud finder that I keep for looking for AC, and pipes. I don't want to pull a Stanley.

Stanley, you're a great guy and all, I just don't want to deal with that much water. No disrespect intended!

i ordered one of those after it was first posted here. Best stud finder I've found so far. And I've tried about all of them.
