The photos didn't work so I've modified them to see if I can make them show up. The second one seemed to be the same as the first, so I left it off.
By the way, so these are the smallest on the market. Has someone asked for this? And for those of us not in New Zealand, where can these be purchased?
edit: this note has the image link just before it. Today the one photo I "fixed" isn't opening for me! What a truly magical product!

go pronto, this thread is the strongest and most persistent endorsement of a product I've ever seen except for threads by actual manufacturers or reps who are not willing to admit that they are selling the items they are calling fantastic.
Do you have a financial stake in this LED?
edit: Your reference to www.currentaudio.com made me look at the site. I looked at the TEK-TIPS, and sure enough, I found one that is highly inaccurate. It's [Link: currentaudio.com]. I will, when I have time, describe just what is incorrect about this note. I'm sure lots of others here can easily describe how wrong it is.
Meanwhile, let me just point out that items that have "chocolate flavor" or "strawberry flavor" do not contain chocolate or strawberry, juice called "Jus-Squeezd" has not just been squeezed,* and TEK TIPS are not TECHnically accurate.
*see [Link: trademarkia.com], for JUS SQUEEZD Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice By: Lykes Pasco Packing Co. That name is outrageous that you have to nearly beat google to death to get google to actually look it up!

hi all , Im not employed by Axium , nor do they pay me to endorse they product. I do however resell some of their products to installer just in NZ only.
But I just thought you would be keen to see a revolution in a product that hasn't changed for years.. so many people complained about IR buds being knock off when TV's got polished/cleaned, this is so low profile its less likely to get knock off..
If you feel I have over stepped the conditions of this forum, I will remove this post..
My experience with these type of "tiny" IR receivers over the years, has been they are junk. Maybe something to do with the physical size of the pickup device, I don't know. But all the ones by other manufactures I've tried were horrible. That's not to say that this device will not be the next best thing since sliced bread. But experience tells me otherwise.
To add to this: If tiny IR receivers were possible, that performed just as well as their larger counterparts. The big companies (Xantech, Niles, etc...) would have done this a long time ago. Especially since this is their bread & butter and are the best at it.
Brad, I find it unclear what this product actually is. The title said
Smalles infra red LED with Visable white LED
Well, OP fixed "smallest" but not yet "visible." And has a "white LED." Beyond that, I thought, since he used the term LED, that it was an emitter. Did OP mean "talkback LED"?
OP did not say emitter or sensor but "bud," a nickname that doesn't describe its function. (Hint: when describing new products, use technical terms.) And it says "visible white LED." Well, that either means it's an IR emitter with a visible indicator, or it's a sensor with a white visible talkback LED. Regardless of which it is, in my world it would not only be the smalles, it would be the larges, since I've never seen either an IR LED or an IR sensor with a white indicating LED.
So let's look it up! It's available all over the world! Just, apparently, as it turns out, not on our particular actual planet.
The SL1 and SL2 do not come up when googling them, as mentioned. gopronto, please provide the manufacturer's full URL for this product. Because:
This is, perhaps, an email address. You're confused. When I go to the (apparently) Netherlands site, I eventually find a link to Axium in NZ. Why didn't you just provide that to begin with?
Oh. I see why. Axium does not list it as a product at [Link: axium.co.nz] or [Link: axium.co.nz]. Plus, it's kinda strange that they list sensors and kits at "IR," but separately list IR emitters under "Emitters."
This site has no information in Axium within it. It links me to that unhelpful NZ site.
I'm done.

I think you are correct Ernie. Now that I looked closer at it, there appears to be only 2 wires going to the device. So it appears to be an IR emitter based on that.
Clearly this is just a language barrier. The country he is from, might commonly call these IR bugs. If so he isn't wrong, it just different to us. In the title it says 'infra red LED'. Which would (taken literally) mean it's an IR emitter. And then he said available in 'singles and duals', which would imply IR emitters. And then the picture with 2 wires. I just missed all the signs. My fault.

In college I lived on a dorm hall where people chose to be there to practice speaking German. There was such a hall for French and one for Spanish, too.
Once at dinner I asked the director, who was a native German, how to say "taste buds." He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "what?" I repeated it and a moment later he said "Geschmack Kaefer!" I was fine with it, but a student who spoke German very well nearly lost his soup out his nose. It turned out that I had not been understood and the German guy had told me the literal translation for "taste bugs." I don't remember what the real answer was. It got lost in the rest of the story.
go pronto, what's a bud?
