Another reason I prefer to use Total Control DMS amps is they are synced, never a delay, in any room. Its a beautiful thing. Screw Sonos.

I'm not sure why you're so hung up on using sonos or a soundbar, etc.,
but you could sell a better TV, like the Sony XBR 900 series [Link: store.sony.com]
add the wireless sub and if you really need sonos then plug a connect into the TV.

No it will not sound as good as a Sonos soundbar, but it will work better than a play5.

Another option would be to use invisible speakers and a real amp, etc.

Pick your battle and move on. Or let the client tell the designer what they actually want.

Im using a SONOS sub and 2 Play 1's in the back of the room.

Invisible speakers wont sound too good behind a sheet of stainless steel!

not to burst your bubble as i assume you are using those for surrounds, Its not going to happen with the play 5. the only way you can get them to work is with the play bar.

I just feel like your forcing a product that has no business being in this type of room.

if its set in stone that SONOS has to be used It would be a crime but why dont you call james or leon and ask them to put the playbar within a custom "bar" that matches the TV?

Is the ceiling stainless steel as well? Because that was what I was thinking for the speakers

Anyway this does not sound like a surround sound type of customer as much as our sounds like you trying to force it
