Damn, cannot hear out of my right ear! Hopefully it's a hunk of wax. Tried eardrops, rinsing etc. No help! Any suggestions? Going to the Dr. next week if it keeps up...

Thanks

If it is earwax, a mix of warm water and hydrogen peroxide. You'll have to hold your head sideways and let the water sit in your ear, so it and the hydrogen peroxide can loosen the wax. If you have a water pik, use that to shoot little jets of the warm water and hydrogen peroxide solution in, and flush out the wax. I once used a syringe with no needle, and used it with the water / 2(HO), to flush out the wax.

I have an inner ear issue that I won't bore you with the details. I use these every few months and they do wonders for removing wax:

I usually get them at Sprouts, which is a local organic store here in Denver. You might try one in your area...or Amazon.

That's because the sound is supposed to go in the ear, not come out of it.

All sound like good suggestions, except a WaterPik is dangerously strong.

I make a habit of washing around the ears and getting foam inside every time I take a shower and I've never had a problem. It really is possible, too, to safely use QTips to clean around the eartube when you're not totally plugged. I was a swimmer when younger, so got used to getting water stuck in the ear and getting it out. Some people are squeamish about that.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Did it just crop up? Could be an inner ear infection (sometimes those have few other symptoms). If it's not earwax and nothing improves after a week, they'll probably give you some antibiotics.

The last time I had a stubborn hearing issue that just wouldn't go away for like two weeks, I went through the whole wondering if it was earwax thing... went to the doc, said they're perfectly clean, gave me a course of antibiotics and it cleared up in a few days.

They make ear wax drops. Comes with a syringe bulb, drops go in, wait a few minutes, flush with warm water. Maybe take some sudafed, if it's congestion, it will help.

I've tried the candles, not convince they work, but they sell them at GNC.

Thanks

Speaking of ears...Last week i woke up experiencing vertigo which caused a panic attack because i thought i was having a heart attack or something worse. The two of them scared me enough to call an ambulance. ER Doc tells me he has no idea what caused the episode because all of their tests point to me being okay. I have been at a job out of town since Sunday and i am still experiencing vertigo. It's not as bad as it was the first time around...mostly because i know what it i and it doesn't freak me out.

I think i have the cause narrowed down to BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). Turns out that there are tiny crystals in your ear that can get dislodged. When they do...your navigation system is worthless and your whole world spins violently around.

It could have been caused by the 10/12/15/18" woofers and 1000W amps ive had in my car as a teenager/20 something. It could be from 10 years of organized football (Pop Warner & High School). Could be because instead of pain killers i pound the side of my head to get rid of head aches. Whatever the cause...it sucks.

Go to the drug store and look for an earwax kit. It's a small bottle of drops to soften the wax, and a bulbous syringe like moms use to clean babies noses.

Throw the drops away because they are useless. Then turn on the water and get it as hot as you can stand it. Fill the syringe with the water. Hold your stopped up ear over the sink then squirt the water into your ear. You will probably find what falls out of your ear to be disgusting.
