We have been experiencing some issues lately with Ruckus and Savant SUR-0500 and Apple Iphone/Itouches. I have also experienced this with some Control4 systems as well. The device will show 2/3 or 3/3 bars of reception but I will loose connection to the automation system in parts of a few homes. Then it will come back for a bit. Not sure what causes this, any ideas? Typically we use a 1106 zone director and 2-3 7363 access points throughout the homes. Are there any settings I should check or preferred security settings?

Thanks in advance!

Is smart roam on by chance? Download and run the speedflex app to see what your throughput actually is. Watch the logs in the zd and see if that particular Mac address is roaming to another WAP or simply disconnecting from the network. Make sure 802.11d is on. Your security should be wpa2 aes, not tkip. It may also be background scanning or channelfly causing issues, try disabling channelfly first. What firmware are you running?

Also you can try and set the access point to a specific channel instead of using auto.

Where in the Ruckus web interface do I change the wifi channel? Can't locate it.
