I have a service call tomorrow morning. Now instead of waking up and relaxing. I'm getting up at 7:30am showering and driving to the shop and then to the clients house. The problem is only going to take 45 mins to fix but it's going to take 3 hours out of my day. Can I charge my boss for the 3 hours? And the 2 hours I spent on the phone with the client , the boss and the it guy tonight?

These seem like questions you would have had your boss answer before you accepted the job...

I'm a hourly employee and when I spoke with the boss he didn't say I will have one of the salaried guys solve the problem. And I asked him do you want me to go there if it comes down to someone having to go. And he said yes

2 hours on the phone and 3 hours (i assume travel time and on site time) fixing the issue = 5 hours that your boss owes you. Maybe more if its over 40 this week.

Obviously you don't get to bill for the 30-60 minutes spent taking a shower and getting dressed...even though thats an hour wasted out of your day of relaxation thanks to this service call. You do however get to bill your boss for travel time and on site time.

If you're hourly and he asked you to go you should be on the clock. Whether you're making time-and-a-half for overtime is another conversation you'll need to have.

WAIT!!! He said getting up at 7:30!
Where is that world, I want to move there.
If I slept till 7:30 I feel half the day is gone.
I am thinking in his eyes your hourly, so you will get paid by the hour.
I would verify that with the BMFIC before expectations get out of hand.
