Oh, you poor guy! Worried about the hood ornament, antenna, emblems and gas cap of your Mercedes when you were in the apartment of someone who didn't have a chance in hell of anything more than living in a shit hole? Kudos to you for seeing the big picture!I

Maybe that didnt sound right... I was happy to help this guy. I cut him a super low price and delivered and set it up for free. He was very thankful because none of the other stores salesguys seemed to want to help him.

As for my car... at least it didnt get jacked.

I worked there from 96 to about 2000. I started in sales, then ended up in car audio installation.

Really. Kevin and Marla are still there.

Any message for Dave or anyone else?

Did you get to have the unique experience of working with Scott M?

Where are you now?

I must have missed the introduction, but I never thought anyone would have worked at the same place.

I saw you lived in Glendale awhile ago and PMed you but didn't get a response. I figured that meant you knew me and couldn't stand me or something. Which happens all the time :)

I'm not sure that I still have your number. I got a new phone and some numbers were lost. Send me a PM.

What part of Glendale? I grew up in the Crestwood area. Did you go to Parkway and Glen Hills?

Seems that the nickname still sticks. I know some people who helped with the cleanup after it flooded in 2010. I heard the water was close to 2' deep on the main floor, so lower F wing and the Knightskellar were completely flooded.

The only PMs I have in my folder were about Fusion Electronics.

Where are you getting the NMEA 2000 adapters? My friend recently replaced his nav gear with Garmin and he wants to connect the MS-IP700. Bell doesn't stock them, Fusion CS said they don't sell direct, although I could probably call the rep and see if he could have them sent to me.

BTW- who is a good source for BNC connectors when replacing the one that's on the end of the Garmin GPS X-series antenna? I didn't get the cable type numbers, but it's smaller than RG59 and the center is stranded. The original connector looks almost like a mini UHF, with teeth.

I lived in the ghetto of Glendale.  Glendale Ave over by Lincoln Park.  I went to both Parkway and Glen Hills.  I was class of 96 at Nicolet.  My sister was class of 87.

We stock everything NMEA2000.  Not sure where we order from.  I probably have some extra stuff I could send you.  Not sure what is is that you need exactly though.   I've got BNC connectors too that I could send.  What you describe sounds like RG58.  If you could take a photo of the cable I would know for sure.

Most awkward installs.

1. One guys wife walks into the room buck naked.

2. Another guy has DVD's of his wife giving him oral relief.

3. While laying on the floor, working on one of those equipment in a cabinet under the TV, the wife stands over me and shows off her shaved stuff (not talking legs either).

There were more of a similar nature.

Lucky or not?

I was long gone by 87 but I did know people in your area. Used to go to the Lincoln Park pool on our bikes when we were in grade school, if that tells you anything.

It seems like RG58 from the description, but the center conductor is thicker than any 58 I have seen. I'll get the markings from the cable next time I'm on the boat. He said it works, but I'd rather re-terminate it and make sure he doesn't lose the antler when he's on the water, in fog, etc.

The Fusion, as you know, has plugs with 6 pins that are arranged in an arc. I need to convert from that to the standard 5 pin NMEA pug. The part number is CAB-000864.

I know someone who was installing a car stereo and the girl was sitting in the back seat. At one point, after she had already hit on him, she called his name, knowing where he would be looking when he turned his head. Sure enough, he was staring at her and she had her shorts pulled to one side. He starred for a few seconds, looked up at her and said "WOW!".

He had gotten engaged about two weeks before, so he wasn't really looking.

ok, we have that cable, but are you sure you want the powered drop cable?  that isn't the one to use when you tie into an existing NMEA2000 network.  that cables passes power through from the Fusion stereo onto the network to power up Fusion wired controllers.

i think this is the one you probably want:  [Link: fusionelectronics.com]

If not, then I have tons of the 864s lying around, i could definitely ship you one of them for the cost of shipping, or i could drop it off to you if

i had my bike stolen when a group of kids pushed me off of it at Lincoln park pool.  i learned to walk from then on.

I had one wife of a client who would purposely work out bra-less every time any of our crew was in the house. She would strike up conversations and wait for your gaze to drift downward....

One woman invited me to get in the hot tub with her, to which I respectfully declined.

Lastly, one of our South Florida clients who lived with his partner would continually pour me drinks while I was working and try to get me to party with him. I would continually refuse and he would proceed to enjoy both cocktails himself.

I have a lot more, but these are the ones I distinctly remember.
