+ 1 on alarm Guys. We have recently purchased a security company so it makes sense for us to look for security guys. Before we were a security company, Alarm guys were the first 2 tech's I hired. They didn't know anything about audio video but they were really sharp guys and ready to rough in a house perfectly and understood both new construction and retro jobs. One of those guys is our lead tech and programmer to this day. The other moved out of state and is running an Audio/ Video company. These are perfect guys to get started in our world.
Another option is to look into the Pro-Audio guys in your area. Find out who is renting sound equipment in your area. These guys know a lot. Perfectly qualified starting point and could grow your business in commercial sound areas.
