Oh yeah... Guess who's gonna be getting crap from his wife for a while. Fortunately it looks like it's only scraps and minor cuts
More importantly, is the UTV ok?
In all seriousness, glad no one was seriously injured. powersports are awesome toys but they can kill you or seriously injure in a heartbeat. was it you who got hurt or your kids?

The wife wanted me to take the top and doors off today on our JKU but had a few other projects going. Had to wire up the new diff lockers we just had put in.
If you feel like having some great fun with your jeep next weekend head to easter jeep safari in moab. We're heading there thursday night. Will be running lavendar canyon friday and either kane creek or hells revenge on saturday.

Nice ride 3PM. I was supposed to pick up my new JKU today, but got out of work too late :( Jealous.
Thanks Man! that's a bummer, im sure it was hard for you to sleep this weekend. What color and options did you wind up getting? If time and disposable income allows this summer i may be taking a ride down to see Bonovox and have a good ole time putting a lift/tires/regear on her with some country boys! :)

Is that supposed to be fun...?
Yes! lol :D that video still makes the rounds on the jeep forum. the spotter was really good directing her, she just sucks at following directions. however she should have had a CB and he should have been talking through the radio.
fortunately she had a 5point harness in there so she walked away with some bumps and bruises and a beat to hell Jeep

My son bumped his head and got cut. It had stopped bleeding before we were even out of the field, but wanted to have him checked. I think the honda is fine, but it took probably 30 minutes before it was turned back up. So I'm gonna have a technician check it before firing it back up.

Just finished upper and lower control arms, and inner and outer tie rods on an 02 explorer sport trac. Fun weekend! Saved a bunch of cash though on the work truck, in a slower time of the year. Dirty, tired and sore, and I was just a tool boy for my buddy half the time!

Yeah, but no fun when it's time to pay to fix that thing. Then again, if I had your money i'd throw mine in the garbage :)
Just got back from Wanee Festival in Live Oak Florida. It is about 6 hours north of Ft. Lauderdale. The Allman Brothers Band have been headling this concert for 10 years. I finally got to see them. It was my wifes birthday weekend so I had my son drive 1hour from Tallahassee (FSU) to surprise her.. then when we got home there was a new car in the driveway (with red bow). Just another typical weekend!!!!
Nobody got hurt trout fishing this weekend and boy those things tasted great.
The irony in that, my boy and I both have brand new poles that haven't even been strung yet. Think I may get them out for next weekend and lay off anything with an engine for a while. :)

Summer of love Beetle...awesome. Fortunately, most parts are plentiful and those damn things are stupidly simple to work on.
Cool.
It would be awesome if you share some pics of the ongoing restoration.
I had a 63 rag (slider, not vert) and a 74 standard that was Baja'd.
Used to yank the motor on the Baja for pretty much any minor repair, even just to clean and polish it (had a lot of chrome and stainless bits). 4 bolts to take off the rear cage (no decklid or rear apron on this car) 4 nuts, 1 throttle cable and 4 wires to get the engine loose Roll a floor jack under it, do the "bug wiggle" and out she would come.
I miss my ACVWs. Maybe again someday.

Sunday: New truck shopping (mulling over replacing my 250,000 mile Tacoma with a new one). Evicting rats from and ratproofing my project truck that is stored outside. Luckily it is pretty much a bare shell inside so nothing for the little bastards to destroy. Finishing up laundry Dinner Then going to bed.

We went back and forth between ARB and Eaton E-Locker. We ended up going Eaton. The clincher was the shop I use said they install about 50/50 of each but service/repair the ARB's a lot more frequently due to leaky air lines and seals within the diff. Was also about $500 less not counting the compressor. I had an ARB a while back on another vehicle with no issues but time will tell.
