I need to install 8x SONOS Connect:Amps in a cabinet along with power conditioning/Distro. Space is limited. Anyone have a good solution for rackin'-n-stackin' 8 of these in modular fashion?

TIA

The Middle Atlantic CFR is a great choice for this unless you don't have enough depth.

I built a little rack out of rack rails and misc parts to fit some Sonos gear and an amp in a very shallow cabinet once.  If you let us nkow how much space you have it would help with recommendations.

This is what I pieced together... it's just some scrap front rack rails cut down and shelves:

You will need FOUR three space/tall shelves just for the Connect Amps!
You can only get two on a shelf.
Do not forget environmental control, exhaust fans.

Can you remote locate to basement?

Cannot relocate...obviously there was a single unit, multichannel head-end in place that the previous homeowner removed (along with all the wired keypads and some speakers).

Using Connects with a multichannel amp as pictured by SB may be the best option here, considering how the wires are already dressed out and cut to length.

The Nuvo P3100 is a better form factor here, but we also want to use Playbars, so SONOS is the best fit overall...Good ideas guys. I should be back over this week and will get measurements.

Yes, if the client doesn't already own the Connect Amps you can reduce required rack space by using Connects and multi-channel amps (and also get better sound).

Racking 8 Connect Amps with 1U of vent space between each shelf will require a total of 17RU.  Using 8 Connects and a multi-channel amp would only require 11RU.

Niles makes a 16 channel amp that could handle all your amplification in 3RU.

I routinely stack lots of Sonos Connects right on top of each other and as long as there is some vetilation I haven't had any trouble:

I've been liking the Sonos Connects paired with Lexicon DD-8 amps. 1RU for 8 channels at 125W.
